This session will focus on case studies and lessons learned from the 2011 Facility of the Year Award Category Winner in Sustainability and the “Green HVAC” group, including:

  • Learn how Pfizer Manufacturing Deutschland’s new Strategic Plant Restructuring and Energy Master Plan facility leveraged investments made in environmental and climate protection to construct a state-of-the-art facility operating with 91% renewable energy sources, a 15% reduction in operating costs, and an overall energy savings of 30%
  • Provide an update on US and EU sustainability programs, covering GHG emissions
  • ISPE’s Energy Star Challenge Partnership with the US EPA
  • An update on the regulatory requirements for classified areas
