Congress Social Networking Evening:
Rundetaarn, Copenhagen
Drinks Reception, Art Exhibition, Tower Visit
Tuesday, 8 April - 18.00 – 19.30
Join colleagues, friends, and fellow Congress participants in visiting Rundetaarn – The Round Tower. Offering magnificent views over surrounding Copenhagen, the Round Tower provides a perfect backdrop to ISPE’s Social and Networking Reception.
King Christian IV laid Rundetaarn’s foundation stone in 1637, with the idea of creating a facility for astronomical and theological scholars. Originally the building housed an observatory, student church, and university library. Today, the building maintains its astronomical links, still housing an Observatory with a 1.5m telescope. The modern link is also in name as well as function - Rundetaarn is the name of asteroid 550, a rock around 11-24 km in size, moving around the Sun outside the orbit of Mars.
Rundetaarn also welcomes visitors to climb the famous Tower and enjoy the panorama of the City, and welcomes visiting exhibitions and concerts.
ISPE’s social reception will take advantage of the pleasing reception space of the Library Hall to bring together delegates, colleagues and speakers. Whether your interest is networking or social, whether you are seeking a fresh perspective on a project, identifying potential business contacts, or simply want to relax and unwind after the days’ seminar sessions, Rundetaarn provides the welcoming informal environment you are looking for.
Accompanying partners are welcome to join delegates at the Social and Networking Evening.
