![]() Communications CommitteeThe Boston Area Chapter Communications Committee is responsible for sharing information about the Chapter’s activities with Chapter members and the local business and academic communities. The committee’s primary activities include producing the Chapter newsletter, maintaining the Chapter website and helping design and implement the Chapter’s public relations effort. The newsletter, published six times per year, is designed to inform, educate and entertain. It contains reports on the many social events, meetings and programs sponsored by the Chapter throughout the year, current regulatory and legislative updates relevant to the pharma, biotech and related industries, news items concerning local companies and technical articles written by Chapter members and an occasional “spotlight” interview with a leader in the local life sciences community. In addition to the newsletter, the committee is responsible for maintaining the Chapter website to ensure it is current and presents a comprehensive overview of the Chapter’s activities, both past and future. Recently, the committee has added a new initiative with the goal of increasing Chapter membership: partnering with other committees, most importantly the Educational Program and Social Committees, to ensure that Chapter activities are widely publicized within the local life sciences community. The committee meets monthly, alternating face-to-face meetings with meetings via conference call, and welcomes new members. Committee membership provides an opportunity to contribute to the Chapter while offering networking opportunities both within the committee and throughout the local ISPE organization. To join, please contact any member of the committee or the Chapter Board of Directors, or the Boston Area Chapter administrative offices at ISPE@cami.org. For Committee Member E-mail information, please refer to the ISPE Membership Directory
