  1. Submitted a Topic Submission Form to ISPE.

If you have not yet completed these steps, but have submitted a Topic Submission Form at least 1 month prior to today then please contact ISPE at training@ispe.org to check on the status of your topic suggestion.

  1. Instructional Design Form
This form is used to start the design process and will aid you in defining the course description. It will be submitted to ISPE’s Education Advisors for validation. (est. 3 hrs)

  1. Attend the Project Meeting and Technical Consultation
This meeting is designed to aide the developer in meeting the ISPE standards and to answer technical questions. We will also establish dead-lines and meeting and delivery schedules. The meeting will be scheduled by the TBL Coordinator once the Outline Builder has been submitted. (est. 30 minutes)

  2. ISPE will send the master template and the link to the Train the Trainer Webinar
After the project meeting, ISPE will send the ISPE Master Template and the Train the Trainer webinar to the developer. The Train the Trainer webinar is designed to teach the developer how to create a powerful and engaging PowerPoint presentation using Good Training Practices. ISPE will also provide a comprehensive template that will guide the developer in creating quality slides and placing them in the proper sequence within the PowerPoint presentation.

  3. Create PowerPoint Slides and Narrate if appropriate
Once you have viewed the Train the Trainer Webinar and have received the ISPE Master template you are ready to create your slides. Follow the outline you created in step 2 and using the ISPE template begin creating your slides and writing your notes or script. If you are creating a Recorded Webinar, you can now narrate your PowerPoint presentation using the script you created.

  4. Submit completed presentation to the ISPE TBL Coordinator
Send the completed PowerPoint presentation and all associated files to ISPE.

  5. ISPE will format the presentation into a finished product
ISPE will edit and request changes if necessary to the presentation and create an online meeting page for the event or product.

  6. Developer validates finished product
Once the presentation and other files are revised and packaged in the ISPE format then ISPE will submit the file or link to the developer for approval before publishing.

  7. ISPE publishes content
After the finished presentation and files are validated by the developer then ISPE will publish the finished product and associated files to the event or content site. In the case of Face-to-Face training ISPE will archive the presentation.

The next two steps apply only to Live Webinars and Training

  1. Practice session
The purpose of this practice session is to go through the entire training or meeting utilizing all equipment and tools that will be employed during the session. This is the time to work out all agenda and timing issues, technical problems and to test equipment and programs (microphones, cameras, phone lines, slide show). For Live Webinars ISPE will coordinate and hold a practice session for all facilitators, hosts and presenters one to two days before the event. For Face-to-Face training the instructor should practice on his own.

  2. Live Meeting/Training Event
For Live Webinars all presenters, hosts and facilitators should be online at least 30 minutes prior to meeting start time. For Face-to-Face training the instructor should be in the classroom 1 hour before the scheduled start time. On the day of the event all equipment and programs should be tested as well as tools readied for use.
