Welcome to the ISPE Great Lakes Chapter

We’re just back from the ISPE Annual Meeting, held in Boca Raton this year. As always, ISPE National put on a great show with engaging topics and entertaining speakers. With the strains we’ve seen this past year on the industry and the economy, a lot of our discussions focused on how ISPE and our Chapter can continue to provide value to our membership. ISPE has rolled out some very exciting initiatives for us to focus on this year:

• Emphasis on local chapter involvement,
• Integration of Chapter activities with our Communities of Practice (COPs), and
• Engagement of the Young Professionals (YP) group.

With your help, we will establish challenging goals for our Chapter and have a fun-filled and professionally engaging year.

We are recruiting!

As a Chapter we continue to struggle with providing valuable services to our membership with the regional challenges we face. As much as we’d enjoy getting everyone together on a monthly basis for local events, driving from one state to another each month to organize and attend meetings is just too much for a handful of people to do. So we’re looking for a few more volunteers to help our Events Committee organize some of these events. We would like a representative from each state in the Great Lakes Chapter - Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan and Wisconsin. These resources would be tapped to collect information on where to have local meetings, topics of interest, organization of events, etc. Please let us know if you’re interested.

We will also be looking for help with the other initiatives from National. So if there is anyone interested in becoming a Community of Practice or Young Professional liaison please let us know.
