Ang Awarded Prestigious Industry Credential from ISPE-PCC

(TAMPA, FLORIDA, USA, 14 MAY 2008) – Ting Siong Ang, Quality Assurance Manager for Aventis Pharma Mfg Pte. Ltd. (a company under the group of sanofi-aventis), has met the global competency standard and has been conferred the Certified Pharmaceutical Industry Professional (CPIPSM) credential by the ISPE Professional Certification Commission (ISPE-PCC).

Ang is one of nine professionals to be awarded this new certification and was assessed through demonstrated education, industry experience, and a rigorous examination. The new credential offers the first competency-based international certification for pharmaceutical professionals. It represents a global standard and covers a range of competencies from drug product development through manufacturing.

The new certification offers enhanced credibility, peer respect and recognition, and greater opportunities for professional advancement.
Ang has been an ISPE Member since 2000. He has a Masters degree in environmental engineering and an Honors degree in material science from the National University of Singapore. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry and materials science from the National University of Singapore.

Ang has eleven years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, having worked in the areas of technical support, production, quality control, and quality assurance. He began his career as a process technical specialist with SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceutical. In addition, Ang holds a certificate of achievement in leadership and is a certified lead auditor and internal auditor. He also holds a professional certification in Six Sigma Green Belt.
