Davis, who served as the Board’s Vice Chair last year, works for AstraZeneca and is based in Cheshire, England. His manages various business projects including those for Quality by Design, and has an external role which also embraces his commitment to ISPE.

As a Member of ISPE since 1991, Davis is one of the Task Team Leaders for Product Quality Lifecycle Implementation (PQLI) and is a member of the PQLI Steering Committee, working to develop the initiative for the industry. He has also chaired the ISPE Technical Documents Committee and is now a member of the Technical Documents Executive Committee. “Bruce will bring leadership in the PQLI arena, but also to many of the goals the Society has to shape the industry,” said Robert P. “ISPE’s volunteer status, our international presence, and our links to the regulators enable ISPE to take a lead in providing the training and education that our industry wants – be it international events, local seminars, or publications,” said Davis. “I will support the ever strengthening links between science and engineering and will encourage greater understanding and communication internationally.

“I will encourage ISPE to provide the tools and training that are needed to support the industry’s professionals – whether individuals are from large or small companies, from small or large molecule background, from generics or new products, from manufacturing companies, suppliers, agencies or academia, or from different countries around the globe.”

Davis is a professional engineer, and he has worked in a range of other businesses, mainly in the engineering field, where he was responsible for new formulation assets internationally.
