ISPE-PCC Awards New Industry Credential to Professional
(TAMPA, FLORIDA, USA, 1 APRIL 2008) – Chuck Clerecuzio, P.E., CPIP®, Vice President of AMEC E&C Services, Inc., in Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania, has met the global competency standard and has been conferred the Certified Pharmaceutical Industry Professional (CPIP®) credential by the ISPE Professional Certification Commission (ISPE-PCC).
Mr. Clerecuzio is one of the first seven professionals to be awarded this new certification and was assessed through demonstrated education, industry experience, and a rigorous examination. The new credential offers the first competency-based international certification for pharmaceutical professionals and covers a range of competencies from drug product development through manufacturing.
The new certification offers enhanced credibility, peer respect and recognition, and greater opportunities for professional advancement.
Mr. Clerecuzio has been an ISPE member since 1998. He has a BA in Zoology from Newark College of Arts & Sciences at Rutgers University, an MS in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Rutgers University, and an MBA in Finance and Operations Management from New York University’s Stern School of Business. He is a visiting professor at Rutgers University in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering and has authored numerous presentations and papers on such topics as cGMPs, technology transfer, project financing and fast track project execution.
Mr. Clerecuzio is an accomplished professional with extensive biotechnology and pharmaceutical experience that includes operations, consulting, technology evaluation, and engineering projects for companies such as Pharmacia, Johnson and Johnson, Pfizer, Imclone Systems, Unigene and Schering Plough. He has particular expertise in Current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP) compliance, consulting, front-end engineering and fast-track project execution.
