Blinded by Science - Functional and Unique Approaches to Blinding Clinical Trial Materials
Recorded Date: May 2004
Course Type: Recorded On-line Seminar
Speaker:
Kristen De Vito, Assoc. Director, Project Management, Quintiles Clinical Supplies
With increasing emphasis in the use of a comparator control in clinical studies, companies are faced with the challenge of blinding the “unblindable.” Companies are marketing their products using proprietary devices and packaging designed to make effective blinding difficult to impossible. Size, shape, color, and stability must all be considered when packaging for blinded trials. Innovative approaches and case studies in blinding techniques for clinical trial material are discussed with an emphasis on non-solid dosage forms. Formulation approaches are not covered in this session. This Recorded On-line Seminar offers up-to-date solutions, introduces new concepts and identifies sources to assist in the successful blinded packaging and presentation of clinical trial material.
At the end of this Recorded On-line Seminar, participants will be able to discuss different approaches to blinding Clinical Trial Materials (CTM), evaluate budget and time impact to study planning, and assess suitable solutions for keeping a study blinded, including the use of third party blind.
Who Should Attend:
This Recorded On-line Seminar benefits CTM professionals who are involved in the design, planning, manufacture, packaging, and labeling of CTM.
