The Chapter was first founded by a small group of engineers at the former consulting engineering firm of Pellemon (which is now the pharmaceutical division of SNC-Lavalin) in Montreal. From this tiny group, the chapter has grown to nearly 700 members across the country.
It now represents a diverse array of professionals from such Canadian industries as:

To meet the needs of our growing Chapter, we need your help. The Chapter is looking for company champions who will lead their fellow colleagues to Chapter events and ensure that chapter communications gets to them.
Furthermore, the board requires good directors who will take the stewardship and governance of the Chapter to heart. Individuals with vision, willing to set the direction of the website and student chapters are much needed. Project managers who can coordinate the golf tournament, the AGM and plant tours are also required.
