What our members say

For many years I have spent my own time lecturing at colleges and speaking at seminars. I just love it. I think that the minute one stops learning, one stops living.

2007 Berlin Conference

Social Evening hosted by the ISPE DACH Affiliate
Monday, 17 September (19.00 - 23.00)
Join other delegates and representatives of the DACH Affiliate for an evening in Berlin, a city that thrives on change. Since its reunification in 1990, Berlin has evolved into a dynamic and creative capital. The DACH Affiliate will take you on a short tour and will be your host during a dinner in the oldest restaurant of Berlin, called “Zur letzten Instanz” (The Last Resort). The dinner will be a great opportunity for networking in a relaxed environment, while enjoying Berlin.

Discover Famous Sights of Berlin
A bus will pick you up at the hotel at 19.00 for a sightseeing trip through the German capital. Take your seat, pass along Berlin's most interesting sights and learn about the city's past, present and future: discover the Gendarmenmarkt, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe; the Reichstag, the seat of the German parliament and the federal government; and the Brandenburger Tor, a historic symbol of the city, located in the former “no man's land” of East Berlin.

Dinner at “The Last Resort”
Close to the Alexander square, the restaurant is located in a restored medieval building whose original interior and annexes have been preserved. Take a trip to the past when you enter the restaurant decorated with most ancient drawings, paintings and photographs. Don’t miss the oldest piece of furniture – a 200-year-old, tiled, German stove on which Napoleon enjoyed culinary specialities.
