About the ISPE Pacific Northwest Chapter
The ISPE Pacific Northwest Chapter got its start in the mid-nineties through the efforts of a small
steering committee who sought to bring the local life science community together. With nearly 200 local
members, the ISPE Pacific Northwest Chapter dedicates its efforts to facilitate venues for networking,
interaction, and information sharing within our region to support the growth of the local life science
industry.
Our membership constituency is made up of professionals in biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device
manufacturers, architects/engineers, construction firms, government agencies, university students, equipment
manufacturers, and suppliers. Individual functions within these companies include production/manufacturing,
project/facility maintenance engineering, QA/QC, process development, microbiology, regulatory affairs,
training, materials management, purchasing, and corporate and product management.
ISPE provides tremendous value through various products and services that include on-going education and
training programs, the ability to stay current on the latest industry trends on a worldwide basis, working
with the FDA to develop Baseline® Pharmaceutical Engineering Guides, informative articles in Pharmaceutical
Engineering, career opportunities, social activities and 19 interactive online communities.
