Shannon Winters has over thirteen years experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing and engineering. She has worked for several pharmaceutical manufacturers in St Louis, MO in Project and Process engineering in manufacturing and packaging, as well as in Operations Supervision. Her experience has also included several years of design consulting engineering, where she focused her attention on Oral Solid Dose, Containment and Potent Compound projects. Currently, she is the Sr. Process Engineer for Astellas Pharma Technologies in Norman, Oklahoma. Duties include supporting the manufacturing and packaging of tablets and capsules for sale in the US, Europe and Japan. Main focuses as of late include improved metal detection, process updates and technology transfer. Winters has been a member of ISPE since 2006 and has attended several conferences.
