Trent Sommer, P.E., is an Associate Consultant Engineer in the Dry Products manufacturing site at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, Indiana. Sommer has been with Lilly for nine years and prior to supporting oral solid dosage manufacturing in Indianapolis for the last six years, supported the recovery of fermented animal health products at Lilly’s Clinton, Indiana site. His current role as New Products Launch Responsible Engineer involves the design and start up of new facilities and equipment trains for the manufacturing of new products at the Indianapolis Dry Products site. Sommer joined ISPE in 2008. He graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering.
