Catherine Acosta transitioned into the Biotech industry in August 2008 when she joined the Operational Excellence team at the Genentech Fill/Finish facility in Hillsboro, Oregon for the start up of the site. She brought eighteen years of experience in a variety of Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing Management roles, in the Semiconductor Manufacturing industry to Genentech. The majority of this time was spent at Intel Corporation. Her experience includes process transfer, equipment characterization, process monitoring and control, root cause analysis, and high volume manufacturing. Acosta earned a B.Sc. degree in metallurgy from the University of Manchester in England and a M.S. degree in materials science and engineering from Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.
