James Lambert joined Genentech in 2005 as Associate Director of Operational Excellence, Quality Assurance (South San Francisco) then, in 2006, joined Genentech’s Hillsboro, Oregon Fill-Finish project as Director of Quality Engineering. Before Genentech, James was employed by both Bayer HealthCare Pharmaceuticals (Berkeley, California) and Baxter BioScience (Thousand Oaks, California) as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt. Prior to entering the biotechnology field, James worked as a Research Chemist for 13 years at W. R. Grace & Co. (Cambridge, Massachusetts). James holds degrees from American University (Washington, D.C.), University of Maryland, and Massachusetts College of Pharmacy (Boston).
