Tyson Crowell is currently the head of Capital Projects for Boehringer-Ingelheim’s manufacturing facility in Fremont, CA. Tyson has over 24 years of experience in the life sciences industry and is a degreed Mechanical Engineer from North Carolina State University. In his current role, Tyson collaborates with cross-functional BI Leadership Teams from Manufacturing, Process Sciences, Quality, and Facilities to develop yearly capital budgets and long term forecast capital budgets to align with Corporate Goals. His team works closely in this cross-functional setting to develop project charters, user-requirements, scoping documents, and collaborates with key stakeholders to meet the needs of each department in order to create the necessary funding documents for project execution. His team incorporates the needs of all the departments to develop successful project execution and closeout plans. Prior to joining Boehringer-Ingelheim, he held the position of Biopharm Technology Leader at Yonkers Industries for the Western US Region. In this position he significantly grew the West Coast Yonkers presence and successfully executed projects for Baxter, Genentech, and Amgen in California. His additional work experience includes 10 years at Clark, Richardson, & Biskup, where he achieved the position of Associate Partner after many successful years as a Design Manager for Clients that included Wyeth, Bayer, Agenix, and Biogen. Tyson has been a member of ISPE since 1992 and was involved in the initiation of the NCSU student chapter and guest lectured at Campbell University.
