Matthew Roberge, PE, has 22 years of professional experience, including working for Pfizer / Wyeth Vaccines for the last 12 years. His experience has been focused on vaccine production and process technology, through several positions, such as large capital project execution to support vaccine and biologics production, start up and validation of vaccine production facilities, licensing and filing technical support, development and technical transfer of vaccine manufacturing processes, second generation process development, and technical evaluations of vaccine facilities around the world to support a growing global demand. Currently, Mr. Roberge is the Director of Emerging Markets Support for the BioManufacturing Sciences Group, with direct responsibilities for the localization of large molecule manufacturing to support Pfizer’s efforts in the emerging markets. He is currently a member of several leadership teams within Pfizer, including the BioManufacturing Sciences Group, Emerging Market Operating Unit, and the Global Aseptic Leadership Team. In addition, he is a registered professional engineer in the state of Pennsylvania, and is a long standing member of the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), and has been published in “Pharmaceutical Engineering” November / December 2000 issue, and has presented on vaccine manufacturing to the “National Vaccines Symposium”, in Ankara, Turkey.
