Lorrie Vuolo-Schuessler is employed at GlaxoSmithKline as a Manager in Computer Systems Quality Assurance within Global Quality and Compliance. In this role she is involved with the assessment of computer system compliance throughout R&D, including performing assessments of internal computer systems, IT departments as well as CROs and software and computing service suppliers. Lorrie has over 20 years of experience in the laboratory and within the quality organization with increasing responsibility in computer system compliance. She received her BS in chemistry from the College of St. Elizabeth and her MS degree in biochemistry from New York Medical College. As the leader of the GAMP special interest group on laboratory computer systems she led the teams that created both versions of the GAMP Good Practice Guide: A Risk-Based Approach to GxP Compliant Laboratory Systems.
