John Dinka

PhotoJohn Dinka has over 28 years of combined API, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical and Medical Device experience ranging from small start-ups to large pharmaceutical companies. He has built and maintained small and large functional groups as circumstances required while holding various operational and technical positions at six different companies comprising his career to date. His previous management roles and responsibilities at Cell Bio, Alliance Pharmaceutical, VIVUS and DURECT included the development of novel cGMP-compliant manufacturing operations, facilities planning, construction, validation, and operation with annual budgets ranging in excess of $50 million. Start-up experiences at these companies encompassed process development and improvements while maintaining a high degree of quality and operational cost efficiencies all while managing tight timelines and budget limitation. Managing organizational development and long term sustainable growth of start-up operations from virtual contractor/consultant based organization to a fully autonomous business unit with an ultimate operational headcount over 400 was one of John’s more notable career achievements. Currently at Eli Lilly, John for the past two years has heading up a new group focused on vendor management and relationship development for primary component container closure systems. He is also the Global Steward for both the Vial and Pre-Filled Syringe Primary Container Platforms for Eli Lilly and Company and is based out of the Indy Parenteral Facility located in Indianapolis, IN.
