Jim Bouressa received his B.S. and M.S. in chemical engineering at the University of Rhode Island. He started his career at Pfizer’s Groton facility in 1985 as a manufacturing supervisor responsible for the commercial manufacturing of penicillin G. In 1989, he moved to Pfizer’s R&D group, where he supervised the Fermentation Pilot Plant, responsible for scale up and manufacturing of various proteins and antibiotics in research and development. In 2003 Bouressa became the Director of BRD Manufacturing, responsible for the process development pilot plant and c-GMP pilot plant which manufactures early phase clinical supplies in St. Louis, MO.
