Ryan Schad is currently Manager of Engineering, Cleaning Technology, and Automation (ECA) for Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role he oversees FUME systems, engineering projects, process automation, and cleaning technology improvement for Lilly’s Bioprocess Operations clinical trial pilot plant. Prior to this assignment, Ryan held various management positions in Lilly’s bioprocess development and manufacturing organizations including overseeing a large-scale biosynthetic fermentation insulin facility. He also has prior experience at Eastman Chemical Company in both development and process design engineering. Ryan holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University and is a member of the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE). A licensed Professional Engineer in Indiana, Ryan is the author or co-author of several technical papers and articles.
