François Sallans is the Vice President and Chief Quality Officer of Johnson & Johnson. In this role, François leads the Johnson & Johnson Quality & Compliance function and maintains oversight and governance of Quality operations across the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies. He serves on many of Johnson & Johnson’s committees and councils, including the Compliance Committee, the Regulatory Policy Council, the Supply Chain Leadership Team, and the Quality & Compliance Leadership Team. François has enterprise leadership responsibility for Quality and Regulatory Compliance, including independent reporting responsibilities to the Company’s Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. He also has responsibility for the Sterility Assurance and Operations Readiness & Convergence functions.
François began his career as a pharmacist in the pharmaceutical production unit of the French Army. After serving in the military he worked for Boehringer-Ingelheim for four years in various manufacturing roles before he joined Johnson & Johnson in 1990. Over the course of his 27-year career at Johnson & Johnson & Johnson, François has served in roles of increasing responsibility in which he gained experience leading large, complex sites with cross-sector activities that provide customers high-quality product and contribute to significant business growth.
François earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, with a specialization in biopharmacy, from Université de Toulouse, France.
