Jay Phillion is Chief Purchasing and Quality Officer for TI Automotive in addition to Managing Director for Fluid Carrying Systems, North America. He has more than 25 years of experience in the automotive industry. He began his career in 1985, and has held various leadership positions within automotive operations, labor relations, quality, materials management and eventually sales and management. Previous positions include: • Vice president, corporate quality, Continental A.G. • Director, operations Continental A.G. • Plant manager and director Six Sigma. BorgWarner. • Director, product line and quality cooling systems, Eaton Corporation. • Management roles, labor relations, operations, materials management and sales manager, General Motors Corporation. While with Continental, he led the acquisition and integration process of Motorola’s Automotive Electronics and Siemens’ VDO. Mr. Phillion serves on two boards at Central Michigan University as well as the advisory board for Quality Analytics, Inc. He earned his bachelor’s degree in industrial technology and management, and his Master’s of science administration from Central Michigan University. He completed continuing executive education at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt professional. Mr. Phillion and his family are residents of Rochester, Michigan.
