Ingrid Hutter graduated at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (Switzerland) with a MSc in Biochemistry. For her doctoral thesis, which she conducted at the Centre for Infectious Disease, University of Edinburgh, she developed a cell culture system for the testing of Hepatitis C antiviral drugs. She continued her research at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland, where she worked on microchip testing systems for ion channels. In 2012 she joined Pixon Engineering AG, where she is focusing on process development and optimisation of biopharmaceutical processes by computer-aided-process design as well as aseptic fill and finish projects. Using process simulations, she has optimised several industrial biotechnological processes and has 5 years of experience in protein expression and purification.
