John Hannon is a Principal with Commissioning Agents, Inc., providing commissioning, validation, and software development services. He has a special expertise in biotech facility and equipment process automation, manufacturing data management, and system integration, and has over 16 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry., has since led and spoken at dozens of ISPE seminars on both the chapter and national level. He has been published in Pharmaceutical Technology and has spoken on case studies and applications of biotech system commissioning and validation, computer commissioning methodology, and risk assessment at several ISPE venues. Currently Hannon serves the society as the chairman of the Assessment Committee of the Professional Certification Commission and is a member of the ISPE Process Analytical Technology Community of Practice Steering Team. His experience includes process development and production management for Proctor and Gamble, system development for Japanese pharmaceutical manufacturer Shionogi (in their association with Eli Lilly and Co.) and system development, commissioning, and validation in his current role with Commissioning Agents. He has been instrumental in starting up biotech facilities for companies such as Baxter, Monsanto, Amgen, Genentech, Wyeth, and Cook Pharmica. Hannon graduated from Georgia Tech in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
