Alf Penfold graduated from The University of Southampton in the UK as a Mechanical Engineer. He later completed an MBA with the Open University. Alf began his career with SmithKline Beecham where he spent 9 years gaining experience in all aspects of Engineering Operations and in the execution of Capital Projects. He then joined Cardinal Health and relocated to the US in 2001 to project manage a new Global Research and Development Facility in Somerset, NJ. In 2004, he joined the Global Engineering group at Pfizer and has performed many different roles including the Engineering Lead for all manufacturing operations in the US and Canada. Alf also has experience in Latina America, Europe & Asia. Alf was on the Steering Team of the new ISPE Project Management Guide. He relocated back to the UK in 2010 and is currently the Vice Chairman for Europe on the ISPE Project Management COP.
