Volker Sigwarth studied medical engineering at the Technical University of Ulm and was awarded his degree as Dipl. Ing. (FH) for his investigation of: “Factors Influencing Hydrogen Peroxide (H2O2) Decontamination”. As a member of the R&D group at Skan AG, Sigwarth has been responsible for the development, integration and qualification strategy of the H2O2 decontamination method SIS 700. Sigwarth is author and presenter of several scientific publications in the field of H2O2 decontamination, biological indicators and isolator technology. As head of the R&D department at Skan AG, he has issued several patent files concerning isolator technology. As Head of the Technology Department at Skan AG Sigwarth has been responsible for Research & Development, Microbiological Qualification, H2O2 Decontamination, Automation GAMP and Machine-Safety- Conformity. Since 2009 Sigwarth is leading Skan AG as CEO.
