2011 ISPE Annual Member Awards
Each year during the Annual Membership Luncheon, ISPE pays tribute to exceptional efforts put forth by Volunteers through special recognition as determined by ISPE's Executive Council. Those recognized include individual Volunteers, Affiliates and Chapters, Students, and the company of the year.
2011 ISPE Awards
The Max Seales Yonker
Member of the Year Award honors the person judged to have made significant contributions to the
Society during the past 12 months.
The 2011 recipient is Michael Arnold.
The Richard B. Purdy Distinguished Achievement Award honors a Member for years of dedicated service to the Society.
The 2011 recipients are Shinichi Osada and Jane Brown.
The Roger F. Sherwood Article of the Year Award honors excellence in contributions to ISPE’s magazine, Pharmaceutical Engineering
The 2011 recipients honored for their article titled Quality Risk Management (QRM) Tool Selection: Getting to Right First
Time, published in the July/August 2011 edition are Kristin S. Murray and
Stephen P. Reich
The Committee of the Year Award honors one of ISPE's approximate 50 committees, councils, task teams, and COP steering committees for outstanding work done in support of fellow ISPE Members and the industry.
ISPE's 2011 Committee of the Year is: GAMP® COP
The Affiliate of the Year Award honors outstanding work by one of ISPE's 25 Affiliates in
North and South America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
ISPE's 2011 Affiliate of the Year is: ISPE Japan.
The Student Chapter of the Year Award honors ISPE's top Student Chapter for outstanding efforts and hard work managing the Student Chapter.
ISPE's 2011 Student Chapter of the Year is: University of California San Diego Student Chapter.
The Company of the Year Award honors a company that has been one of ISPE's strongest supporters over the years, and in particular during the last 12 months.
ISPE's 2011 Company of the Year is: Pfizer
The North American/South American Affiliate Council Chapter Excellence Program honors excellence and innovation for ISPE's 16 North American Chapters. There are three major awards included:
- 2011 Platinum Grand Award for Excellence and Innovation: Boston Area Chapter
- 2011 Platinum First Prize Award for Excellence and Innovation Medium Chapter: San Francisco/Bay Area Chapter
- 2011 First Place Award for Excellence and Innovation Small Chapter: San Diego Chapter

The International Student Poster Competition Award - Graduate honors the top graduate student poster among finalists who won competitions earlier in the year and as selected by judges at the Annual Meeting.
ISPE's 2011 Graduate winner is: Diane Darlington of North Carolina Central University Carolina/South Atlantic Chapter
