Career Opportunities and Strategies in the Pharmaceutical Industry

The Swiss German University Student Chapter of ISPE arranged a very successful seminar in Bandung, Indonesia, on 2 April in cooperation with BEM Kemafar UNPAD and HMF ITB. This seminar was sponsored by ISPE Indonesia Affiliate and created for Pharmacy students from UNPAD and ITB.

ISPE Indonesia Affiliate Annual Conference 2010

The ISPE Indonesia Affiliate Annual Conference held in Jakarta, Indonesia from 10-11 May repeated its success of previous years with an attendance of over 200 participants including industry professionals, suppliers, consultants, academia, regulators and invitees from the sponsors.

The 2010 annual conference focused on Oral Solid Dosage Forms with sessions presented in two tracks.

The conference was opened by Herny Prasetya, ISPE Indonesia Affiliate Chair who introduced ISPE and the benefits of ISPE membership. Participants learned about the ISPE Web site and the knowledge resources available, how to become an ISPE member, the ISPE global calendar and, more importantly, Communities of Practice.

Dra Kustantinah, Msc. Apt., Head of National Agency for Drug and Food Control of Indonesia, addressed the conference during the plenary session and presented the road map to Pharmaceutical Regulatory in Indonesia.

The first track of the conference discussed development, formulation, and manufacturing of pharmaceutical oral solid dosage forms. Various topics were presented by six industry professionals, both local and global.

The second track – Facility for Manufacturing of Oral Solid Dosage forms was delivered by Gordon Farquharson.
