Challenging the Paradigm to Enhance Global Health and International Biosecurity
View one of the most popular keynotes from 2011 Annual Meeting for FREE!
At the 2011 ISPE Annual Meeting, Brett P. Giroir, Vice Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives for the Texas A&M University System, gave a Keynote talk entitled, "Challenging the Paradigm to Enhance Global Health and International Biosecurity." He discussed how the traditional paradigm for vaccine and biotherapeutics development has been affected by new realities such as the need for low cost, rapid response solutions; fewer viable candidates for clinical trials; and personalized therapeutics. Dr. Giroir described the work of a team that is addressing these challenges by developing flexible, affordable, and scalable manufacturing technologies for both biosecurity and commercial applications.
