COMMUNITY

ISPE is tuning in to the needs of Young Professionals! ISPE Chapters have created YP groups that plan educational programs and social and networking events especially for YPs in their Affiliate or Chapter, often for little or no cost. These events are geared towards YPs, although they are open to all ISPE members and non-member guests.

Ready to get involved? Interested in learning how to get a Young Professional Group started in your area? YPs can join to help with the groups' efforts, Affiliate or Chapter leaders can contact the groups to find out more about their progress and lessons learned, and interested companies can sponsor group events by contacting the groups or the affiliated Chapter president. PROFESSION

At work, closing the communication gaps that can occur between professionals from different generations is imperative. Recently, ISPE offered a webinar entitled "Listen to Me! Young Professionals and Industry Veterans Talk Generations, Careers, Networking, and Advice," which focuses on how to address the generational communication issues that can occur. In addition, the panel discussed generational priorities and how to form successful mentoring relationships.
