HAPPY 25TH ANNIVERSARY!

As ISPE's general membership grew in the mid 1980s, ISPE International’s leadership recognized the need to develop chapters that would provider networking, education, and the exchange of industry informa­tion at the local level. The large concentration of membership population and the pharmaceu­tical industry based in northern New Jersey were the prime factors for focusing on this area.

At the ISPE Annual Meeting in November 1985 a steering committee was formed to determine the interest and feasibility of creating a local chapter in New Jersey. The effort ended successfully and ISPE’s first chapter was chartered in New Jersey in late 1986.

The “North Jersey” Chapter, as it was then known, pioneered many effective programs. With no precedent as guide, the Chapter was able to explore and innovate new ways to locally enhance ISPE membership. Now celebrating its 25th Anniversary, the New Jersey Chapter can be proud of a long list of accomplishments.
