FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(TAMPA, FLORIDA, USA, 04 October 2013) – ISPE announced today that it will postpone its Proactive Compliance Conference, previously scheduled to take place 7 – 8 October 2013 in New Brunswick, New Jersey USA. The decision to postpone the conference was a direct result of the US government shutdown, which forced FDA officials previously confirmed as event sponsors and speakers to withdraw. ISPE plans to reschedule the event, at a date and time to be determined.
“ISPE regrets the decision to postpone this conference, but as the participation of the FDA was pivotal to the value of the event for our delegates, postponement was necessary,” said ISPE President and CEO Nancy Berg. “ISPE Members and conference attendees expect unparalleled education experiences when they attend an ISPE event. We look forward to delivering the conference, with the planned regulatory participation, once the shutdown is over.”
ISPE is in discussions with the FDA, conference venues and other vendors to finalize an alternate date, with the aim to hold the event before the end of the 2013 calendar year. The Society anticipates that it will be able to confirm the new date and venue by the end of October.
Delegates who are affected by the postponement will be contacted directly with status updates as plans for rescheduling the conference progress. In the meantime, any ISPE Members or stakeholders may review the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) or direct questions to ISPE Member Services at +1-813-960-2105 or firstname.lastname@example.org; press inquiries may be sent to Danielle Hould at email@example.com.
