Welcome to the ISPE Nordic Affiliate

The Nordic affiliate was initiated in 2000. The Affiliate consists of the Nordic countries: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland. The Nordic membership has since grown to more than 1000 members with active regional representation in all Nordic countries.

The Nordic Affiliate Board of Directors is made up of the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and elected members. In addition, members can be co-opted for other duties. All members are volunteers and as such many have to fit in their ISPE activities with fulltime jobs. The Nordic Board of Directors meets four to five times per year.

The Nordic Affiliate plans to have the following activities every year:

• 8 / 9 Nordic events with a variety of the key ISPE Nordic focus areas, which may include:
  • Pharmaceutical Operations
  • Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients
  • Biotech
  • Parenterals
  • Oral Solid Dosage Form
  • Packaging & Warehousing
  • Utilities, cleaning and cleaning validation
  • Achieving and maintaining GMP compliance
  • Cooperation with suppliers
  • Computer Systems Validation and 21CFR Part 11 compliance (GAMP)
  • Development of Medical Devices



• A visible, local member benefit for ISPE Nordic should include the opportunity to network and share experiences with colleagues in the local area.
  • Minimum one local event in each of ISPE Nordic's focus regions:
  • Region 1: Stockholm/Uppsala area
  • Region 2: Copenhagen/Malmoe area (Oeresund-region)
  • Region 3: Helsinki area
  • Region 4: Oslo area
  • Region 5: Gothenburg area



• Establish contacts and address lists in focus neighbour areas:
  • Region A: Hamburg area
  • Region B: Berlin area
  • Region C: Tallinn Area (Estonia)
  • Region D: Riga area (Latvia)
  • Region E: Vilnius area (Lithuania)



• Continue to arrange annual meetings with annual member dinner as a "happening of the year" for ISPE Nordic. The location of this meeting is switch between Stockholm and Copenhagen.
