Welcome to the website of the ISPE Australasian Affiliate. ISPE is the leading technical organization for professionals engaged in producing quality medicines and pharmaceutical devise throughout the lifecycle.
ISPE’s Core Purpose is Knowledge Management—seeking, defining and sharing best practices in manufacturing, quality and compliance throughout the product lifecycle to the benefit of Members and all stakeholders.
The ISPE Australasia Affiliate has approximately 300 Members and consists of five Chapters:
- NSW
- VIC
- QLD
- NZ
- SA
We also sponsor Student Chapters at University of Adelaide and Swinburne University.
Founded in 1980, the International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) is the largest not-for-profit association of its kind in the world, providing technical, scientific and regulatory support throughout the entire pharmaceutical lifecycle. Its 20,000 Members, located in 90+ countries around the globe, are dedicated to the development and manufacture of safe and effective pharmaceutical and biologic medicines and medical delivery devices.

ISPE has significant body of knowledge that is viewed by industry and regulators worldwide as the cornerstone resource outside of published regulatory guidance.
The Chapters within Australia and New Zealand form the ISPE Australasia Affiliate. We work in conjunction with ISPE internationally to extend benefits to local Members and to promote networking between professionals within the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Our aim is to deliver a programme throughout the year that is beneficial to our membership and addresses the current concerns and issues within the industry.
