Philip Sass

  PhotoPhilip M. Sass, Ph.D. is Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Morphotek, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of, Eisai Co., Ltd. Eisai is a research-based human health care (hhc) company that discovers, develops and markets products throughout the world with headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Sass has held industrial positions as Director, Development at Magainin Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and as a Senior Scientist at the American Cyanamid Corporation. Previously, Dr. Sass held an academic appointment as an Assistant Professor in the University of Illinois’s Department of Pharmacology, and adjunct academic appointments at New York Medical College’s Department of Immunology and in the Immunology and Infectious Diseases Department at Rockefeller University. Dr. Sass received his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, and was a Damon Runyon-Walter Winchell fellow at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory in Cold Spring Harbor, NY.
