Steve Buckingham is a Lab Study Engineer II in the CORE Lab at Hyde Engineering + Consulting, Inc., a global design and consulting organization providing process system design, commissioning and validation, and state-of-the-art cleaning technologies to pharmaceutical, bioprocess and other regulated process industries. Steve holds a M.S. in Biotechnology from Northwestern University as well as a B.S. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Steve began his career at CBR International Corp. in a technical consulting role, where he gained significant exposure and familiarity with cGMP regulations for drugs and biologics manufacturing. In this role, he was also responsible for drafting and submitting written responses to U.S. and European regulatory agencies on behalf of clients with regards to chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) topics. He joined Hyde Engineering + Consulting in 2012 as a member of the newly-formed Hyde CORE laboratory in Boulder, Colorado, where he was responsible for performing bench-scale cleaning cycle development studies and helping to develop novel laboratory capabilities. His primary areas of expertise are in analytical method development and validation, as well as performing IQ/OQ/PQ of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
