Pam is the Executive Vice-President, Operations and Information Technology at AstraZeneca. Pam has a wealth of experience including manufacturing & supply chain and commercial operations. She is responsible for all of manufacturing and supply, procurement and IT, globally for the company. In addition, Pam serves on the Board of Directors for Codexis, an industrial biotechnology company based in California, USA.
Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Pam was the President of MSD (Merck) China. She was responsible for MSD's entire business in the country, including sales & marketing, commercial operations, manufacturing and R&D. Prior to her role in China, Pam was Senior Vice President, Global Supply Chain Management & Logistics, responsible for managing Merck's supply chains around the world. As the company's senior supply chain executive, Pam was responsible for Global Product Planning, Capacity and Sourcing Management, External Business Affairs, Joint Venture Alliance Administration and Supply Chain Solutions for all human health, animal health, and vaccine products globally. In addition, Pam had global responsibility for Distribution and Logistics supporting the R&D, Marketing and Manufacturing functions of the company.
Prior to Merck, Pam held various Engineering and Project Management positions at Universal Oil Products (UOP), Union Carbide Corporation and GAF Chemicals. Pam holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Chemical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey and an MBA in Marketing from Pace University in New York.
